Question

How does Arb Hunters find their arbs? Do you have special software or find them manually?

Answer

Arb Hunters find our arbs manually. This means that actual people search bookmakers' websites and compare odds rather than having special software scan odds for us.

There are pros and cons to the manual method of locating arbs. The biggest disadvantage is that we can find fewer arbs searching manually than if we used software to scan the Internet. The second disadvantage is that because we're human, we need to sleep sometimes and so we don't send arbs out 24 hours a day!

Those are the only two disadvantages of sourcing our arbs manually rather than having software do the work for us. However, there are a greater number of advantages to manual arb hunting:

  • Because we have lower overheads and send out fewer arbs our prices are considerably cheaper than our competitors
  • Our arbs are seen by real people so bookmakers' errors can be spotted and investigated
  • Because we have an in-depth knowledge of the sports betting markets that we find arbs on we can time our searching when the best odds are available
  • Because we use real humans we can often find niche betting markets that software cannot scan
